Shopping Cart and Basket - Hape

The Hape Shopping Cart and Basket is a carefully designed role-play toy intended to accompany little ones in their first experiences with symbolic play. Inspired by everyday shopping, this wooden cart allows children to recreate real-life situations while developing essential skills in a natural and fun way.

46 x 35.6 x 58 cm Weight: 2.5 kg

Made with a sturdy wooden frame, the cart is designed to withstand intensive use and accompany the child for years. Its 360° swiveling rear wheels facilitate smooth and stable movement throughout the house, fostering autonomy and movement control even in tight spaces. This detail makes it an excellent support for the development of gross motor skills, balance, and coordination.
One of its most practical elements is the removable felt basket, equipped with a Velcro closure. This basket can be used both inside and outside the cart, offering multiple play possibilities: transporting food, toys, or even being used independently. In addition, the set includes four toy food items and a cup holder with a cup attached to the side, which enrich the play experience and make it even more realistic.
Shopping play is a key activity in child development, as it fosters imagination, language, social skills, and the understanding of daily routines. Through symbolic play, children learn to organize, classify, share, and communicate, while also gaining confidence by imitating adults in a safe environment.
With dimensions of 46 x 35.6 x 58 cm and a weight of 2.5 kg, the cart is an ideal size for children aged 2 and up, allowing for comfortable and safe handling.
